From the Interchange‘s website: Scheduled to open on May 17, 2014, the Interchange will serve as a central, multi-modal transportation hub and community gathering space in downtown Minneapolis.
This thing is a big dig, and it’s coming along quite quickly as they approach the grand opening.

The Central Corridor is now more than 80 percent complete, with much of its heavy construction completed. You can now drive a car along almost its entire route, with some exceptions in downtown St. Paul.

The New York Times did this charming video of David Byrne cruising around New York on his bike a few years ago. I believe Byrne and bicycles, as well as this video, are still relevant today.
I wasn’t able to attend the opening of St. Paul’s Union Depot transit hub, so I checked it out on a late-December day off. It’s very impressive, and its historic character has been preserved. Here are a few pics from my exploration.
