Penfield Construction Update
Construction is progressing fairly quickly on St. Paul’s upcoming Penfield multi-use development by BKV Group that will include a Lund’s grocery store and apartments. Its design pretty bland, but should enliven a very sleepy part of town and do some good work toward connecting the capitol area with the northeastern end of downtown.

Central Corridor-Green Line Update
The Central Corridor is now more than 80 percent complete, with much of its heavy construction completed. You can now drive a car along almost its entire route, with some exceptions in downtown St. Paul.

St. Paul Union Depot Opening
I wasn’t able to attend the opening of St. Paul’s Union Depot transit hub, so I checked it out on a late-December day off. It’s very impressive, and its historic character has been preserved. Here are a few pics from my exploration.
